Awesome find. I watched all of the clips there. He was the balls, plain and simple. I rewatched "A Touch of Evil" last weekend, and I was amazed at his performance and direction. That long opening shot was one of the best ever.
Citizen Kane is the most annoying, boring movie ever. I expected so much from it when I watched it since it had been pumped up as one of the greatest movies. I don't see it I found no pleasure in watching that movie and I am a movie snob. I think I would rather watch Ishtar.
I didn't like Kane the first time I saw it. Matter of fact, I hated it. It gave me a splitting headache. Now I love it. I could just be delusional.
My favorite film with Orson as an actor is still "The Third Man." I always dig "The Stranger," too. I'm watching that tonight over on hulu.com. He's a creepy-ass Nazi.
I've only seen Kane once, probably 15-20 years ago. I should probably give it another chance. His part as William Randolph Hurst was his first Nazi role. ;-)
